Erbario fluviale
September-October 2024
The installation consists of three hybrid devices whose backlighting recalls the vision of a screen, containing veils of leaves collected on the banks of the Sieve river. The native plants of white poplar, black poplar and white willow contribute to shade and oxygenate the banks, and are necessary to consolidate the banks by holding the soil with their roots and slowing down the speed of the river flow with their stems, thus reducing the risks of erosion, landslides and floods. In the distance we experience in the city from the natural context, the screen refers us to a reality, in this case physical and present: it shows us the remains of something alive, changing, which silently changes under our distracted gazes.
